Specific Duties

  • Supervises the personnel activities/ efficient and functional services, effective and relevant book collection, promote maximum use of library resources and facilities.

Participation in Academic and Administrative functions

  • Spearhead University Orientation on the utilization of library services.
  • Member, Administrative Council
  • Member, Council of Deans and Director
  • Member, Non –Teaching

Supervisory Functions

  • Plan and administer the University’s Library Program.
  • Plan and implement library policies/ rules and regulations.
  • Oversee the selection, organization, maintenance and distribution of materials.
  • Provide and supervise staff growth and development.
  • Participate in library budget management.
  • Supervise the annual inventory of print and non print materials.
  • Attend and participate during Administrative Council meetings and Council of Deans and Directors and other related meetings.
  • Establish linkages with HEIs, NGOs, and Foundations.
  • Sustain lines of communication with the different colleges.
  • Secure and administer external funding through grants and donations.
  • Submit accomplishment report, semi-annual and annual reports.
  • Facilitate continuous updating of accreditation documents in Area VII with area chairman of various programs under evaluation.
  • Facilitate documents for the COD/COE and other agencies.
