Library Services Strengthen Academic Quality Through Preliminary Survey Visit (PSV) Accreditation Support

Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya — Demonstrating its strong commitment to academic excellence and institutional quality assurance, the Library Services of Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) Bambang Campus played a vital role in the successful preparation and evaluation process for the Program Survey Visit (PSV) Accreditation of the Master of Arts in Science, Major in General Science.

In support of the accreditation, the Library Services undertook the comprehensive preparation of required documents for Area 7 – The Library, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards and guidelines. The soft copies and hard copies of the documents were submitted on June 6, 2025 and June 10, 2025 respectively.

The documentation covered areas essential to library operations and services, including administration, staff and personnel, collection development and organization, services and their utilization, physical setup and facilities, financial budget, and linkages. Each component reflected the library’s dedication in providing relevant, accessible, and high-quality resources that support instruction, research, and extension services.

The Program Survey Visit (PSV) Accreditation was conducted on September 8–12, 2025, during which accreditors thoroughly evaluated the submitted materials and the overall library performance. Additional documents requested during the evaluation were promptly provided by the Head Librarian, ensuring full compliance with accreditation requirements.

The active participation and preparedness of the Library Services highlight its integral role in advancing the university’s academic programs and sustaining a culture of excellence. This initiative underscores the library’s continued efforts to support program accreditation and contribute to the institution’s long-term development and quality assurance goals.

The successful conduct of the PSV accreditation marks another milestone for NVSU Bambang Campus in its pursuit of delivering high-quality graduate education.
