NVSU Undergoes Institutional Accreditation Evaluation

Nueva Vizcaya — February 26, 2026 — Nueva Vizcaya
State University (NVSU) successfully conducted its Institutional Accreditation
evaluation from February 24–26, 2026, marking a significant milestone in the
university’s ongoing commitment to strengthening quality
assurance and sustaining institutional excellence.
The three-day accreditation activity involved
comprehensive document reviews, interviews, and on-site visits, which were primarily held at the
Training Center, Bambang Campus. The
evaluation covered nine key areas of appraisal, reflecting the university’s
dedication to maintaining high standards in academic programs, administrative
operations, and student support services.
The accreditation process brought together
university officials, faculty members, administrative staff, and accreditors
from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the
Philippines (AACCUP). The evaluation team conducted a thorough review of
institutional documents and supporting materials prepared by various
offices and academic
units. These were complemented
by interviews and on-site inspections, designed to validate
the information presented and assess the effectiveness of
the university’s programs, facilities, services, and institutional practices.
The nine
areas of evaluation included: I. Governance and Management; II. Teaching,
Learning, and Evaluation; III. Faculty and Staff; IV. Research; V. Extension,
Consultancy, and Linkages; VI. Support to Students; VII. Library; VIII.
Infrastructure and Other Learning Resources; and IX. Quality Assurance Culture.
Each area
underwent scrutiny to ensure that the university meets established standards of quality and institutional performance. Among these areas, the
library is one of the key components in the evaluation, highlighting the vital
role of library services and resources in supporting instruction, research, and
the overall academic needs of the university community.
As part of
the accreditation activities, the opening and closing programs were held at the
University Gymnasium in the Bayombong Campus. These gatherings formally welcomed the accreditation team and provided
an opportunity to recognize
the collective dedication and collaborative efforts
of the entire university community in preparing for the
evaluation.
University
officials expressed their sincere appreciation to the accreditation team for
their time, expertise, and valuable insights throughout the evaluation process.
They also commended the unwavering commitment and cooperation of faculty
members, staff, and administrators who worked diligently to ensure the
successful conduct of the institutional accreditation.
Institutional
accreditation plays a vital role in ensuring the continuous improvement of
academic programs, facilities, and support services. Through this rigorous evaluation process, NVSU reaffirms its
commitment to delivering quality education, advancing research and innovation,
and strengthening its engagement with the community.
With the successful completion of the
accreditation visit, the university community remains optimistic that the
results will further affirm NVSU’s dedication to academic excellence,
institutional development, and quality higher education.
