Philippine E-Journals End-User Training Conducted

The university library, Bambang Campus, successfully
conducted the Philippine E-Journals End-User Training via Zoom, on May 15,
2026. The end-user training brought together faculty members, librarians, and
academic personnel in a meaningful virtual learning session focused on
enhancing research and information literacy skills.
The program formally opened with an invocation,
followed by welcome remarks delivered by Jeselle
P. Dulay, a BSCpE-4 student
and On-the-Job Trainee,
who also served
as the Master of Ceremonies for the event. On behalf of the organizing
team, she warmly welcomed the participants. She introduced the objectives of
the training, which aimed to strengthen the effective use of the Philippine
E-Journals platform as a reliable source of scholarly information.
During the session, participants were guided through
the features, scope, and functionalities of the Philippine E-Journals database.
The training highlighted effective strategies for searching, accessing, and
retrieving scholarly articles and journals to support instruction, research,
and extension activities. Emphasis was likewise placed on the responsible and
ethical use of academic information resources.
The resource speaker
for the activity was Ms. Kristy Anne Corpus, Product
Marketing and Customer Success Officer of CE-Logic, Inc. Drawing from
her expertise in academic research, digital library services, and electronic
information resource management, Ms. Corpus delivered an informative and
engaging presentation on maximizing the use of electronic scholarly resources.
Her discussion provided participants with practical knowledge and valuable
insights on efficiently utilizing the Philippine E-Journals platform for
academic and professional purposes.
An interactive open forum followed
the discussion, during
which participants actively raised questions, shared
insights, and sought clarifications regarding the topics presented. Ms. Corpus
thoughtfully addressed the participants’ queries and further enriched the
learning experience through additional explanations and recommendations.
A Certificate of
Appreciation was awarded to Ms. Corpuz in recognition of her valuable
contributions and unwavering dedication to the training’s success, as well as
her exemplary service as a Resource Speaker.
The activity concluded with the closing remarks delivered by Mrs. Dolores R. Cayaban, Campus Coordinator of the Library Services of NVSU Bambang. In her
message, she expressed her sincere gratitude to the resource speaker,
participants, and administrators whose unwavering support, cooperation, and
active participation contributed significantly to the success of the event. She
also emphasized the importance of continuous learning and
collaboration in strengthening library services and nurturing professional growth
among library personnel.
The training served as a significant initiative in promoting research culture, information literacy, and the effective utilization of credible academic resources within the institution. The library extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who participated and looks forward to conducting more meaningful learning activities that support academic program that guarantees excellence and lifelong learning.
