Published on: July 16, 2026

The university library, Bambang Campus, successfully conducted the Philippine E-Journals End-User Training via Zoom, on May 15, 2026. The end-user training brought together faculty members, librarians, and academic personnel in a meaningful virtual learning session focused on enhancing research and information literacy skills.

The program formally opened with an invocation, followed by welcome remarks delivered by Jeselle P. Dulay, a BSCpE-4 student and On-the-Job Trainee, who also served as the Master of Ceremonies for the event. On behalf of the organizing team, she warmly welcomed the participants. She introduced the objectives of the training, which aimed to strengthen the effective use of the Philippine E-Journals platform as a reliable source of scholarly information.

During the session, participants were guided through the features, scope, and functionalities of the Philippine E-Journals database. The training highlighted effective strategies for searching, accessing, and retrieving scholarly articles and journals to support instruction, research, and extension activities. Emphasis was likewise placed on the responsible and ethical use of academic information resources.

The resource speaker for the activity was Ms. Kristy Anne Corpus, Product Marketing and Customer Success Officer of CE-Logic, Inc. Drawing from her expertise in academic research, digital library services, and electronic information resource management, Ms. Corpus delivered an informative and engaging presentation on maximizing the use of electronic scholarly resources. Her discussion provided participants with practical knowledge and valuable insights on efficiently utilizing the Philippine E-Journals platform for academic and professional purposes.

An interactive open forum followed the discussion, during which participants actively raised questions, shared insights, and sought clarifications regarding the topics presented. Ms. Corpus thoughtfully addressed the participants’ queries and further enriched the learning experience through additional explanations and recommendations.

A Certificate of Appreciation was awarded to Ms. Corpuz in recognition of her valuable contributions and unwavering dedication to the training’s success, as well as her exemplary service as a Resource Speaker.

The activity concluded with the closing remarks delivered by Mrs. Dolores R. Cayaban, Campus Coordinator of the Library Services of NVSU Bambang. In her message, she expressed her sincere gratitude to the resource speaker, participants, and administrators whose unwavering support, cooperation, and active participation contributed significantly to the success of the event. She also emphasized the importance of continuous learning and

collaboration in strengthening library services and nurturing professional growth among library personnel.

The training served as a significant initiative in promoting research culture, information literacy, and the effective utilization of credible academic resources within the institution.
